Fabric Sourcing

apparel In a garment factory, fabric sourcing department is basically engaged in determining how and where its merchandise i.e. fabric will be obtained.

Types of Doubling

finishing Ring doubling and two for one twister, quality required by yarn to get best doubled yarn. Formula for double yarn count.

Fusing Process and its Requirement

apparel Regardless of which fusible and machine are used, fusing is controlled by four processing components such as temperature, time, pressure and cooling.

Fabric Cutting Standards

apparel apparel-making Where large quantities of a garment style must be cut, a lay is created which consists of many plies of fabric spread one above the other. From this, all the garment pieces for all the sizes that have been planned for that lay are cut. The pattern shapes for these garments may be drawn on a paper marker placed on top of the lay, or information as to their shape and position may be held within a computer, to be plotted similarly on a paper marker or used to drive an automatic cutter. Therefore ce

Dyeing Methods

dyeing finishing weaving Dyeing can be performed using continuous or batch processes. Yarn dyeing is used to create interesting checks, stripes, and plaids with different-coloured yarns in the weaving process. Substances which cause these changes are called dyestuffs.

Roving

spinning spun-yarn yarn The input of roving frame is silver that comes from draw frame section where only parallel of comber sliver. In roving section reduce the linear density of draw frame silver by drafting. After reducing the linear density the silver is transfer into roving (a thin form of rope). This is first stage where twist is inserted for making a yarn in spinning mill. The output of this section is roving which is wind on a bobbin and this is suitable for further process. Here in this section describes

Winding Machines and Faults

yarn Different types of winding machines are discussed here. They can be classified on the basis of ...Also the various faults of winding are specified.

Tailor Tracks

apparel There are many ways to mark the inside of a garment, but experts use tailor tacks most often. A tailor tack is a short length of thread placed in the fabric. Correctly done, it is the safest way to mark, and can be used on more fabrics than any other marking system.

Loom Mechanisms

fabric weaving The basic mechanisms in any type of looms can be classified into Primary (shedding, picking & beat up), secondary and Auxiliary motions. Shedding opens the warp sheet into layers. The picking causes the shuttle carrying weft to be propelled from one end of the loom to another. The beat up motion lays the previously laid weft to the fell of the cloth. The secondary motion comprise of take up and let off motions. The auxiliary motions consist of the warp stop, weft stop and warp protector motions.

Carton Strapping

apparel A wide variety of tool and machine systems are available to strap cartons, eventual choice often being determined by through put and/or cost. Generally the easiest way to strap cartons is with a semi automatic machine that has a cycle time per strap of just over 2.0 seconds. Automatic and automated machines are frequently used for continuous bulk usage. Polypropylene (PP) strapping is an economical packaging solution designed for light to medium duty unitizing, palletizing and bundling.
