Weaving Process

fabric weaving Weaving is the process of making cloth with two components, a warp and a weft, and can be done by very simple techniques on complicated loom.

Types of Pattern Making in garment manufacturing

apparel There are various types of pattern making in garment manufacturing.

Standard Staple Yarn Spinning Procedures

spinning yarn Yarn making from staple fibers involves picking (opening, sorting, cleaning, blending), carding and combing (separating and aligning), drawing (re-blending), drafting (drawing into a long strand) and spinning (further drawing and twisting). Silk and synthetic filaments are produced by a less extensive procedure. Current high-production yarn-making operations are performed on integrated machines that perform this entire sequence as one combined operation.

Manmade Regenerated Protein Fibres

fiber Manmade protein fibres are produced by dissolving proteins like casein from milk, soya bean protein, and zein from corn in diluted alkali and forcing these solutions through a spinneret into an acid-formaldehyde coagulating bath.

Pressing or Folding

apparel Although pressing remains largely a manual task, new automated process exists that apply force and steam to garments placed over a body form.

Diamond and Diagonal Weaves

fabric weaving Diagonal weave are basically type of twill weaves confined to bold twills running at angles greater than 45°, although often regular 45° twills are spoken of as diagonals; regular diagonals are generally formed by combining two regular 45° twills in their picks or ends.Diamond weaves are type of twill weave which forms the shape of a perfect diamond.

Characteristics of Textile Blended yarn and fabric

yarn characteristics of textile blended yarns like- shrinks or not, water absorbent , has creases or not, has luster or not, soft/hard. Each kind of fibre has its own characteristics, when mixing them, one should consider their characteristics to create a hybrid with the characteristics needed.

Knitting

fabric knitting Knitting is a method by which thread or yarn may be turned into cloth. Knitting consists of consecutive loops, called stitches. As each row progresses, a new loop is pulled through an existing loop. The active stitches are held on a needle until another loop can be passed through them. Basically there are two types of knitting which are weft knitting, versus wrap knitting and another type is flat knitting versus circular knitting.
