Threading Up

embroidery finishing High speed embroidery machines and ATC machines require maximum accuracy when threading up and putting the spools

Textile Finishing

dyeing finishing knitting Textile Finishing is any operation (other than preparation and colouring) that improves the appearance and/or usefulness of fabric after it leaves the loom or knitting machine. Finishing is the final series of operations that produces finished textile fabric from grey goods. Textile finishing usually includes treatments such as scouring, bleaching, dyeing and/or printing, the final mechanical or chemical finishing operations etc.

Setting up a Spinning Mill

assorted spinning Detailed analysis of spinning mill setup, cost of production, investments, return on investment, profit calculation, ideal production output calculation etc.

Pre-Shrinking Finish on Fabrics

finishing Pre-shirking is needed almost on all fabrics because most textile materials shrink when washed. However preshrinking can only reduce the residual shrinkage to a lower percentage, but cannot completely eliminate it. On cotton fabrics, usually take away 8-10%shrinkage by preshrinking, leaving about 5-6% in them.

Fabric Formation

fabric knitting weaving The major methods for fabric manufacture are weaving and knitting. Weaving, or interlacing yarns, is the most common process used to create fabrics.

Sample Warping

fabric weaving Sample warps are developed for sampling purposes. It gives full proof of its performances during this production phase of new items.

Yarn Formation/Spinning

spinning yarn The Fibre formation process includes change in shape, structure and properties of the thermoplastic polymer. The polymer pellets or granules are fed into an extruder where, through heating, their melting temperature is exceeded. The polymeric melt is then transported, under pressure, to the spinneret..Yarn formation methods were originally developed for spinning of natural fibres including cotton, linen, wool and silk.

Knitted Fabrics for Elasticity, thickness and warmth

fabric knitting The elasticity of knitted fabrics gives them an excellent drape, but this is opposed somewhat by their generally greater thickness compared to wovens.

Ginning

fiber The process of separating the seeds from the cotton fibers. Types of processes, Points to be considered for fibre during processing. It also mentions various other properties.

Selvedge

apparel-making fabric weaving Selvedge are special hooked needle driven by a cam which produces, after cutting, the insertion of the protruding thread end into the subsequent shed, thus forming a stronger edge. The basic function of any selvedge is to lock the outside warp threads of a piece of cloth and so prevent fraying. The selvedge should be strong enough to withstand the strains of the stenter in the finishing process. - The selvedge should have a neat and uniform appearance.
