LSI addresses calcium carbonate only. Dyehouse effluent also carries sulphate, silica and phosphate, and silica in particular scales irreversibly with no useful index — a comfortable LSI is not a clean bill of health. Antiscalant selection and dose belong to the membrane supplier's projection software, not to this figure.
