Stenter Oven Capacity & Thermal Bottleneck Modeler

Turning up the burner does nothing to a dwell-limited line — and on an exhaust-limited one it just raises the humidity until nothing dries.

Compare the three ceilings before changing anything, because the cheapest fix depends entirely on which one binds: a dwell limit is solved by mechanical pre-dewatering or a longer oven, an exhaust limit by fan and duct work, and only a burner limit by more heat. Thermal efficiency is a lumped figure covering exhaust losses, radiation and air infiltration, and it drifts badly as door seals and damper controls age. Dwell requirements are chemistry- and construction-specific — a curing finish and a simple dry need very different residence times, and the required dwell entered here should come from the finish supplier rather than from habit.
