Base measurement graded up across the run
An overlap ratio at or above 100% means the tolerance band is wider than the grade step and adjacent sizes are indistinguishable on this measurement — tighten the tolerance or widen the grade. Grade rules are rarely uniform across a full run; verify the top and bottom sizes against the pattern rather than assuming linear grading throughout.
