ProCompliance & Restricted Substances/Product Compliance
Three phthalates at 400, 380 and 430 ppm each pass a 1000 ppm group limit on their own line, and total 1210. The register that is read row by row finds nothing wrong.

Every limit on this register is yours. Nothing here carries a regulatory figure of its own and nothing is updated when a list is revised, because a stale limit reading as compliance is worse than no tool: it is acted on. Enter the list you were issued, at the revision you were issued it, and re-enter it when your customer reissues it. Fraction reaching the article converts a chemical-basis result to an article-basis one - a formulation at 2% add-on is 0.02 - and is left at 1 when the article itself was tested; it is a mass-fraction carry-over and assumes nothing is lost in curing, washing or drying, which for a substance that volatilises or rinses is conservative. Expanded uncertainty is taken as entered rather than derived, at whatever coverage your report quotes; the free measurement uncertainty budget calculator on this site builds that figure from its instrument, sampling, conditioning, operator and method terms. A substance passing as read and failing once its uncertainty is placed against the limit is reported separately, because that is the population a retest resolves and a rejection does not. Family limits are summed on the article basis and compared against the tightest limit any member carries; a family over its limit where every member passed individually is counted on its own line, since that is the failure a register read row by row never shows. A row with no limit entered is not counted as a pass - it is a row nobody can judge, and it is excluded from the tested count rather than quietly cleared. None of this is a compliance certificate, a legal opinion, or a substitute for the accredited report it takes its numbers from.
