Which Tests Your Own Laboratory May Run, and Which It May Not

"We tested to the equivalent standard" is three different commercial situations, and the register knows which one you are in.

Your Laboratory

The body your accreditation is actually held against, which is the question the crosswalk is asked

One body. A laboratory accredited for several should run the sheet once for each

Consumables, technician time and instrument share

Sending It Out

The alternative, priced whole — the invoice is not the cost

Door to report, including the courier both ways

What the shipment or the approval is worth per day held

When a Modified Result Is Challenged

The exposure a MOD row carries, which is the whole reason to know it is a MOD row

From your own history of buyer technologists querying a result

Retest at a third party, the delay, and the correspondence

The Buyer's Test Programme, One Row per Method

Write the standard exactly as the buyer specified it — the edition year is optional, since the register files by standard rather than by edition. Leave the last column empty and the crosswalk is asked; fill it in and your answer is used instead, which is how the 1,474 standards the crosswalk has not yet reached are handled and how a laboratory with a correlation study of its own records that fact. An empty answer from the register is reported as unverified rather than as not equivalent: those are different, and only one of them means the sample has to leave the building.
