Guidelines

TextileSchool.com welcomes your articles about any aspect of textiles including technical, statistical, ready reckoner, references, guides, tutorials, calculators, formulas, etc. It can be an article, research paper, lecture notes, guides, book review, or any other form of knowledge base content write-up.

Articles should be at least 750 words long. There is no set maximum, but they generally should not exceed 2,000 to 2,500 words.

Articles should be informative, not promotional, and should not include self-serving links. You may include an author bio paragraph where you may promote your book, Website, services, etc. Please, no more than three links in the author bio (anchor text links are allowed).

There is no limit on the number of articles you may submit. All your articles owned and submitted by you will be listed on your profile page. You will have exclusive access to your article repository which you can alter at any time. Other users won’t be able to modify your content.

  1. Copyrights

    Articles you submit must be your original work, and you must hold the rights. The article may be previously published in print or online, however by submitting your articles, you grant TextileSchool.com the right to publish the works here. You retain the copyright on your work.

  2. Form of submission

    To submit articles, email your articles to textileschool.site@gmail.com. Placing the article content in the body of the email is accepted, but as an attachment, Microsoft Word document format is preferred.

    A scanned/photo soft-copy of hand-written articles is also accepted along with appropriate images.

  3. The Format

    Please use MS Word to format the text with headings, bullets, tables, and images appropriately.

    1. Write-up/Text content

      1. Title (max. 80 chars)
      2. Sub-title (max. 128 chars)
      3. Summary/Abstract (max. 250 chars)
      4. Tags/Keywords (at least 3)
      5. Content body (min. 750 words)
      6. References – title, source, link
    2. Supporting components

      1. A featured image (attach or suggest an appropriate one)
      2. Images (include in the word document, or attach as a separate file, leaving a placeholder/marker in the content)
      3. Link resources (include in the word document, body text)
      4. Tables (include in the word document, body text)
      5. Charts/diagrams/graphs… (as attachments)
  4. Remuneration

    There is no fee paid for use of articles on this site, and no payment is required to have your articles featured with links to your site.

  5. Publishing

    TextileSchool.com may make minor edits to your works (e.g., spelling, grammar, and style issues) and may change the title slightly to make the article easier for readers to find in searches.

    After submitting an article, allow two (2) days for the article to appear on the site (it may appear sooner).

  6. Linking to the article URL

    If you have a site that includes resources for articles and authors you may link to us, but a reciprocal link is not required in order to have your articles featured here. You may link from your site directly to your articles on www.textileschool.com if you wish.

    We are happy to promote you and your book or company when you provide quality content, however, the purpose of this site is to provide information, not the promotion of individuals, their websites, or products.
