Wipes
A wipe has to hold its lotion in the pack and let it go on the surface. Retention and release are the same property pulling in two directions.
— g/g
Liquid held per gram of dry substrate
A negative drip margin means the pack will weep in transit and the bottom wipes will be dry. Release depends on the pressure applied and the surface being wiped, so measure it under a load representative of actual use rather than free drainage — and for a disinfectant wipe, confirm the released volume still delivers the registered dose of active.
