See what it looks like

A roll three grams heavy is not a quality event and never appears on a report. It is a delivery of free yarn, repeated on every metre for as long as the quality runs.

What the Yarn Costs and What You Will Accept

The second one is a commercial decision rather than a technical one, and it is the thing that sets how far above the limit you have to stand

Yarn Cost cost/kg

Landed into the knitting or weaving, since that is where the grams are added

Light Rolls You Will Accept %

The share of rolls allowed under the lower limit. Lower is safer and dearer — this is the dial the giveaway hangs from

The Qualities You Run, One Row Each

One row per quality that runs regularly, because the aim point is set per quality and a plant average hides the one that is costing the money. Nominal is what the buyer specified and what you quoted against. Tolerance below nominal is how far under the specification allows before a roll is light — it is often not symmetric with the upper tolerance and only the lower one matters here. What you actually aim at is the mean of your own weighing records rather than what the machine is set to. The standard deviation is from those same records; a mill that does not have it should measure it before using this sheet, because it is the number the whole answer turns on.
