For some garments, dyeing is done after final assembly in order to ensure a perfect colour match for items intended to be worn together. In jeans manufacturing, washing is often a final stage in finishing in which various washing techniques are used to give denim a ‘stonewashed’ look, or faded, bleached, and aged appearances.
