A heat transfer press uses a heated platen to apply heat and pressure that transfer prints, sublimation designs, vinyl, labels or badges onto garments or cut fabric pieces. It is used on finished garments or on cut parts before sewing, and differs from the fusing press, which bonds interlinings over larger areas. Platen size, temperature range and pressure control are compared.
16 models of this class are held, 1 of them with the figures their builder published and the date they were read. The rest are identity only: the model is recorded and its figures are not.
