Cradle to Cradle Certified Product Standard
Certifies a product across five categories at once - material health, product circularity, clean air and climate protection, water and soil stewardship, and social fairness - with an achievement level in each. A voluntary certification standard verified by assessment, not a test method.

What this standard is for
Why it matters
The broadest certification in this register. Most of the others take one axis - chemistry, or labour, or fibre provenance - and this one is scored on all five, so a single level cannot be read as a general verdict: a product can be strong on material health and weak on circularity and still be certified.
What to watch for
Versions 3.1, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 and 5.0 are all named on the publisher's current pages, because certificate holders are mid-transition rather than because several are in force. Version 5 was released 10 February 2026 and applications against it are accepted from 16 March 2026, with no sunset date announced. An existing certificate names its own version and does not silently become a Version 5 certificate.
