EN 365 Personal protective equipment against falls from a height - General requirements for instructions for use, maintenance, periodic examination, repair, marking and packaging

A European standard with no ISO equivalent held here, which is why it needs a record of its own rather than a crosswalk row. Published by CEN and adopted by its member bodies, so the same document is also sold as BS EN, DIN EN, NF EN and so on.

What this standard is for

What to watch for

Harmonised under EU Regulation 2016/425 on personal protective equipment. A product built to this standard is presumed to conform to the Regulation's essential health and safety requirements, which is why a European buyer asks for it by name. It has conferred that presumption since 21.04.2018, cited in OJ C 113. From the Commission's own harmonised standards list, generated 16 June 2026. Title and status were read from the listing page's body text, which states a status outright where the structured data does not. A national adoption of this standard - BS EN, DIN EN - is the same document under another designation, so a specification naming one of those is naming this. An amendment has been published against this standard: EN 365:2004/AC:2006. An unamended copy of the base document is incomplete - a laboratory working from one is following superseded requirements while holding a correctly named standard, which is exactly the failure a designation alone will not reveal.
