Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Combines instrument, sampling, conditioning, operator and method uncertainties in quadrature to a combined standard uncertainty, expands it by the coverage factor, and reports the reportable interval around the measured value plus the share of variance owned by the largest component.
Calculator
Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Propagates yarn, construction, process and finishing tolerances into a product tolerance: root sum square and worst-case stack, margin against the specification, the share of variance owned by the largest contributor, the tolerance it would need for a tighter spec, and the sigma level achieved.
Calculator
Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Prices a tolerance change: converts current and proposed limits into sigma levels and reject rates in ppm, costs the additional rejects across annual volume, and compares that against the process improvement needed to hold the tighter limit at unchanged capability.
Calculator
Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Solves the yarn counts a target fabric mass requires: warp and weft count in Ne and tex, the mass each direction contributes, the warp share of fabric weight and the resulting cover factor.
Calculator
Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Converts customer tolerances into specification limits and tests them against the process: upper and lower limits, capability index for mass and strength, the weaker of the two, and the process standard deviation each property would need to reach a target capability.
Calculator
Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Scores six scale-up dimensions — recipe, machine, sample, capacity, risk and commercial approval — against their weights, compares the result with the release gate, and reports the shortfall, the weakest dimension, the score that dimension alone would need, and how many sit below the critical threshold.
Calculator
Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Finds the process window satisfying two opposing responses: the bound each specification imposes, the feasible band between them, the midpoint setting, both responses at that setting and the tighter of the two margins.
Calculator
Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Compares a proposed fibre substitute against the original: equivalence ratio on tenacity, moisture regain, density and cost, a weighted equivalence score, the fabric weight change density implies and the cost saving offered.
Calculator
Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Maps subjective hand onto measurable properties: deviation from target for bending rigidity, compression, drape, stretch and friction, the weighted total deviation, a composite hand index and the single property furthest from target.
Calculator
Product Engineering, Specifications & Feasibility
Separates equipment repeatability from operator reproducibility, combines them into total gauge R&R, and reports the result against both acceptance criteria — percent of study variation and percent of tolerance — plus the number of distinct categories the gauge can resolve.
