From 6 January 2027, HDPE and polypropylene woven sacks for packaging 50 kg of cement (IS 11652:2017) must conform to the Indian Standard named against it and carry the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards (Scheme-I of Schedule-II, BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018), whether made in India or imported. Goods made for export are outside the order.
