What this standard is for
What to watch for
Harmonised under EU Regulation 2016/425 on personal protective equipment, conferring presumption of conformity from 15.06.2018 and cited in OJ C 209. A garment built to it is presumed to conform to the Regulation, which is why a European buyer names the standard rather than describing the garment. The Commission records an end of legal effect of 19.11.2020, so confirm which edition currently carries the presumption before quoting it. There is no purchase link on this record: it was built from the Commission's citation list, not from a catalogue entry, and inventing a link would be worse than admitting there is none. Search the designation at a national standards body.
