What this standard is for
Where it is used
Widely specified in Asian supply chains, and the test GB/T 3921 corresponds to. Common in buyer protocols written to Chinese national standards.
Why it matters
C06 and C10 are both "the ISO wash fastness test" in conversation and they are not the same test. A lab report against one does not satisfy a specification written to the other, and the discovery usually happens after the goods are made.
What to watch for
GB/T 3921 corresponds to this part rather than to ISO 105-C06. It is currently recorded as an equivalent on the ISO 105-C06 record, which is a conflict a reviewer needs to settle: confirm the part number and the severity condition in writing before testing. "ISO 105" alone in a purchase order is not a testable instruction.
