ISO 1833-13 Textiles — Quantitative chemical analysis — Part 13: Mixtures of certain chlorofibres with certain other fibres (method using carbon disulfide/acetone)
Chlorofibres dissolved in carbon disulfide with acetone. The reagent is flammable and acutely toxic, and this method should not be attempted outside a fume cupboard by anyone who has not read the safety section of the standard. The residue is weighed and corrected by the factor d that the standard gives for that fibre in that reagent; the dissolved component is the difference. Identify the fibres by microscopy first - the method assumes you already know which two you have.
