OEKO-TEX
OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT
Certifies the chemicals, colourants and auxiliaries themselves rather than any article made with them, so a dyer can select inputs that will not put a finished-goods certificate at risk. A voluntary certification standard, not a test method. Conformity is demonstrated by testing and audit through OEKO-TEX member institutes, and the certificate is what moves with the goods.

Equivalents
| Body | Number | Equivalence | Deviation |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZDHC | ZDHC MRSL | NEQ | Both address the chemical formulation rather than the textile, which is why ZDHC accepts this one for MRSL conformance. They remain separately maintained: a formulation certified here is accepted by ZDHC, not automatically compliant with a later MRSL revision. |
What this standard is for
Why it matters
This is the register's only standard aimed at the chemical supplier rather than the mill or the brand, and it is where a chemical management programme starts in practice.
What to watch for
The edition is inside the document and not in its web address. OEKO-TEX serves the current document at a permanent URL, so a link saved in a quality manual quietly starts pointing at a later edition with different limit values. Cite the edition, never just the link.
