ISO 1833-19 Textiles — Quantitative chemical analysis — Part 19: Mixtures of cellulose fibres and asbestos (method by heating)
Cellulose burned away by heating, leaving asbestos - a loss-on-ignition method rather than a dissolution, so there is no reagent and no correction factor d. Retained for legacy material only. Asbestos analysis is a regulated activity in most jurisdictions and this is not a method to run casually; if a sample is suspected of containing asbestos the controlling law comes before the test method.
