ISO 1833-21 Textiles — Quantitative chemical analysis — Part 21: Mixtures of chlorofibres, certain modacrylics, certain elastanes, acetates, triacetates with certain other fibres (method using cyclohexanone)
Chlorofibres, some modacrylics, some elastanes, acetates and triacetates dissolved in cyclohexanone. The alternative to Part 12 and Part 13 for several of the same fibres, with a less hazardous reagent than carbon disulfide. The residue is weighed and corrected by the factor d that the standard gives for that fibre in that reagent; the dissolved component is the difference. Identify the fibres by microscopy first - the method assumes you already know which two you have.
