ISO 1833-27 Textiles — Quantitative chemical analysis — Part 27: Mixtures of cellulose fibres with certain other fibres (method using aluminium sulfate)
Cellulose fibres dissolved with aluminium sulfate. A gentler route than the sulfuric acid parts, for residues that concentrated acid would damage. The residue is weighed and corrected by the factor d that the standard gives for that fibre in that reagent; the dissolved component is the difference. Identify the fibres by microscopy first - the method assumes you already know which two you have.
