Checked against SAC. Not yet checked: ASTM, AATCC, BIS, JIS, EN, DIN — an absent row here does not mean no equivalent exists.
What this standard is for
Where it is used
Supplier qualification and audit questionnaires across the industry. Frequently a gate for being quoted at all, rather than a differentiator once you are.
Why it matters
Certification is often a precondition of being on an approved vendor list, so its absence removes a supplier from consideration before price is discussed. Its presence proves process discipline, not product quality — the two are routinely confused.
What to watch for
A certificate names a scope and a certification body. Both matter: a certificate covering one site or one process line does not cover a group.
