Advanced Textiles Expo is the annual North American gathering for specialty and technical fabrics, run by the Advanced Textiles Association — the body formerly known as IFAI, whose lineage runs back to 1912. It covers the applied end of the trade: awning and tension structures, geosynthetics, marine and military fabrics, protective apparel, and the sewing, welding and coating technology that turns roll goods into finished assemblies.
Its character is different from the European fairs. This is a fabricator’s show as much as a mill’s — the visitors are frequently the companies cutting, welding and installing the material, and the technical sessions run to hands-on subjects like seam sealing, hardware selection and specification writing.
The 2026 edition runs 3–5 November at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
