The AATCC International Summit is the annual conference of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists — the body behind the AATCC test methods that appear on a very large share of the world’s textile specifications. Colourfastness, dimensional stability, water repellency and antimicrobial efficacy are AATCC methods before they are anything else.
The Summit is where those methods are debated, revised and occasionally retired, alongside papers on dyeing chemistry, colour measurement and sustainability testing. For a laboratory manager or a technologist writing specifications, the standing of this event is that the people in the room are the ones who write the test you are citing.
The 2026 edition is at the Hotel Ballast in Wilmington, North Carolina.
