Quilting machine

A quilting machine stitches a top fabric, a wadding layer and a backing together in a repeating pattern to make padded fabric for garments, bedding and upholstery. It is used in garment and home textile making as a panel or roll-to-roll process before cutting, and differs from embroidery in joining layers rather than decorating one. Machines are compared on needle count, needle bar spacing, working width and pattern control.

4 models of this class are held. None of them carries its builder's published figures yet - the register knows the machines exist and not what they do.
