A+A is the world’s principal fair for occupational safety and health, and the largest single gathering of the protective clothing trade anywhere. Flame-resistant and arc-rated workwear, high-visibility, chemical and particle barrier garments, cut-resistant gloves, and the certification regimes that govern all of them.
It matters to a textile audience because protective apparel is the end use where the fabric specification is the product. Nothing here is chosen on hand or drape: a garment either meets EN ISO 11612 or it does not, and the difference between passing and failing is a fibre blend, a finish, or a seam construction. The standards bodies and notified bodies exhibit alongside the mills, which is unusual and useful.
The next edition runs 19–22 October 2027 in Düsseldorf.
