Techtextil is the principal international meeting point for technical textiles and nonwovens, running in Frankfurt on a two-year cycle since 1986 and structured around twelve application areas — from Buildtech and Mobiltech to Medtech and Protech — rather than around fibre or process. That organisation is the point of the show: a technical textile is defined by what it has to survive, and the fair is laid out the way a specifier thinks.
It runs concurrently with Texprocess, Messe Frankfurt’s fair for the processing of textile and flexible materials, so cut, join, weld and finishing technology is on the same ticket. For anyone specifying a coated, laminated or nonwoven construction against a performance standard, the pairing is the most efficient week in the calendar.
The 2028 edition runs 4–7 April at Messe Frankfurt. Messe Frankfurt also operates regional editions under the same name, including Cinte Techtextil China in Shanghai and Techtextil North America.
