Saurer Autocard SC8s is a carding machine used in spinning. It opens tufts down to individual fibres, removes remaining trash, neps and short fibre, and condenses the web into a continuous sliver coiled into cans. It follows the blowroom and feeds the draw frames, or the lap former and comber in a combed-yarn mill.
Identity only — no specification recorded yet. This make and model are known to exist and to be traded, which is more than a superseded machine's own builder will usually tell you. Its specification is not recorded here, so this page identifies the machine and claims nothing about what it does.

Check against the machine before you buy or budget on it. Builders publish a range and a configuration; the machine on your floor may be a different variant, may have been rebuilt, and may not carry the options these figures assume. This register records what the builder published, not what any individual machine does.
