• Brownfield Expansion: What the Next Increment Costs Premium Prices an expansion against the shared plant it forces rather than against the machinery quotation. Reports the largest increment that needs nothing bought, the size at which the steps being bought would be full, and the sizes in between where a modest-sounding expansion has crossed every limit and filled none of them. Shared Plant the Proposal Forces cost
• Demurrage and Detention Are Two Clocks Premium Separates the terminal's charge for a container sitting in its yard from the carrier's charge for its equipment being out of the system, because they run on different clocks with different free days and different people to argue with. Prices the move everyone makes when the bill arrives — pulling the box out sooner, which stops one clock and starts the other — lane by lane, and values an extra free day on each clock separately so a contract negotiation can be aimed at the one that is worth something. The Whole Bill cost/yr
• Integrating Backward: How Much Plant to Build, and What You Must Sell to Strangers Premium Sizes a backward integration against your own consumption rather than against the plant's cost curve. Charges every kilogram of capacity you cannot fill, prices the surplus at what a newcomer would actually get for it and only as much as could be placed, and tests each size against a bad year - so the answer is a capacity rather than an argument. What the Right Size Saves a Year cost/yr
• Order Post-Costing & Variance Statement Premium Closes the order the costing sheet opened. Sets every quoted cost line against what the order actually consumed and actually paid, splits the overrun into the rate effect, the quantity effect and the joint term that belongs to neither, and prices the short shipment that raised the cost of every piece that did ship. Reports the margin quoted beside the margin realised, and the order profit expected beside the order profit earned. Margin Realised %
• Own Account or Job Work: Allocating Capacity Against a Bank Limit Premium Allocates a mill between selling yarn and selling conversion against both constraints at once - the spindle hours it has and the working capital it can fund - and reports the mix, what refusing job work costs in idle hours and lost contribution, what the last rupee of the bank limit is earning, and the job work rate below which each count should be refused once capital is charged at what it is genuinely worth. What Job Work Is Worth a Year cost/yr
• Spinning Mill Working Capital Cycle Premium Builds the full working capital cycle a spinning mill funds - cotton stock, work in process, finished goods and receivables, less supplier credit - across the product mix rather than one average count, then splits it into promoter margin and the bank limit that has to be sanctioned, prices the interest per kilogram, and reports the shortfall against whatever the project report actually provided. Net Working Capital Required cost
• The Capacity You Buy, and the Capacity the Line Gains Premium Tests every proposed upgrade against the line rather than against its own department, so a machine that adds forty percent to one stage is credited only with what the mill actually gains before the next stage binds. Reports the share of purchased capacity the line captures, names the constraint each upgrade hands the problem to next, and builds the ladder of steps that still pay back inside your hurdle. What the Best Single Upgrade Gains the Line kg/h
• The Escalator You Signed, and the One That Pays Premium Runs a raw material escalation clause over a real price history and reports what it actually recovered against what the mill actually paid. Then prices each clause term separately - the lag, the trigger band, the pass-through share and the cap - as what removing that one term alone would have been worth, so a negotiator knows which sentence to reopen at renewal rather than which one sounds worst. Of the Cost Increase, the Share the Clause Recovered %
• The Fuel Price You Negotiate, and the Steam Cost You Pay Premium Converts every fuel quotation into cost per tonne of steam, through the four things that differ between fuels and are rarely in one person's head: calorific value as received, the efficiency the boiler reaches on that fuel, the ash it leaves to be paid for, and the carbon it is charged for. Then reports, for each fuel, the price it would have to reach to become the cheapest steam - a threshold to watch rather than a ranking that expires. Cheapest Steam Available cost/t
• The Humidification Bill, and the Production It Buys Premium Compares relative humidity setpoints the mill has actually run, costing each on the energy and water it consumes against the efficiency, waste and yarn weight it produced. Names the setpoint the utilities budget prefers beside the setpoint the mill earns most at, and prices the gap over a year - because those two are owned by different managers and are rarely the same number. Cost a Year of Running the Cheapest Setpoint cost
• The Intensity That Improved and the Total That Rose Premium Splits a change in energy or emissions three ways - what came from making more, what came from making different things, and what is genuinely an efficiency gain - using an additive decomposition that reconciles exactly. Reports the improvement a mill can claim beside the one it actually made, tests both against an absolute and an intensity target, and prices the gap at your own abatement cost. Improvement That Survives the Mix %
• The Internal Price: What Cost-Plus Costs a Group Premium Tests the price at which one unit of a group sells to another against the price the group would want it to be. Reports the orders the receiving unit refuses that the group is glad of, the orders it takes that the group loses on once the supplying unit is full, what the difference costs a year, and whether any single internal price can put it right. What the Internal Price Costs the Group cost/yr
• What a Cubic Metre of Effluent Costs, and What Cutting One Saves Premium Separates the average cost of running an ETP or zero-liquid-discharge plant from the marginal cost of the next cubic metre through it, because a water-saving project appraised at the average is credited with a saving most of which does not exist. Reports both rates side by side, what a ten per cent cut actually saves against what it appears to save, what the cut does to the rate on the slide, and which streams are costing more to recycle than fresh water costs to buy. What a Ten Per Cent Cut Overstates By cost/yr
• What a Discrepant Presentation Costs, Against the Fee for It Premium Prices a failed presentation under a documentary credit as what it actually is — the loss of a bank's undertaking and its replacement by a buyer's option — rather than as the discrepancy fee that appears on the statement. Reports the fee, the financing days the waiver cycle adds, the concession weighted by how often it is demanded and the tail where the credit is refused outright, separates the discrepancies that can still be cured before expiry from those that cannot, and names which kind is costing the most rather than which occurs the most. What Discrepancies Actually Cost cost/yr
• What a Forecast Commits You To, and the Day It Stops Being Recoverable Premium Separates the part of a commitment that a firm order stands behind from the part standing on an indicative forecast, and then separates that exposure again by whether it can still be recovered today. Every item has its own date after which there is no recovery at any price — a started dye lot, a printed trim — and the earliest of those, not the cut date, is when the plan actually turns. Reports what is already unrecoverable, what a cancellation would still return, and what another week of waiting for the buyer to confirm costs. What Is Already Gone cost
• What an Export Incentive Is Booked At, Against What It Turns Into Premium Takes a notified export benefit from the headline rate a costing sheet books to the cash that eventually arrives, through each haircut in turn: eligible value rather than invoice value, the per-unit cap that bites only on the styles that earn most, the part that is never credited, the discount a transferable scrip sells at and the months of waiting. Reports the rate you should actually be quoting at, what the shortfall is worth against the order's margin, and which of the four haircuts is doing the damage — because each is fixed in a different place by a different person. The Shortfall cost
• What Margin to Bid, and Why a High Strike Rate Is a Symptom Premium Takes the win rate a factory already achieves at each margin and the hours it can actually run, and finds the bid margin that maximises expected contribution rather than expected orders. Reports the strike rate that goes with it, what bidding to win costs, how far short capacity leaves the plant, and what each missing hour is worth. What Moving to the Right Margin Is Worth cost
• What the Policy Pays, Against How Long the Mill Is Actually Down Premium Tests a business interruption cover against the thing that actually sets the recovery — machinery lead times. A sum insured answers how much and an indemnity period answers how long, and a loss is covered only where both are enough. Prices the months of lost gross profit that fall beyond the period, the shortfall that survives even inside it because output ramps rather than resumes, and the average clause, which reduces every claim in proportion to any under-insurance rather than only the claims above the sum insured. What the Policy Would Not Pay cost
• Ballistic Fabric Energy Absorption Estimator Calculates projectile kinetic energy and momentum against an aramid or UHMWPE ballistic pack, and reports the specific energy absorption per unit areal density that armour designs are compared on. Projectile Kinetic Energy J
• Composite Fibre Volume Fraction Calculator Calculates fibre and matrix volume fractions, theoretical composite density and void content for a fibre-reinforced composite laminate, the properties that govern stiffness and strength in aerospace and automotive textiles. Fibre Volume Fraction %
• Comprehensive Woven Fabric Costing Calculator Builds a woven fabric price per metre from yarn weight and price, sizing, weaving and processing conversion costs, waste, factory overhead and margin, and reports the yarn to conversion cost split. Selling Price /m
• Fibre-to-Garment Cost Cascade with Compounding Stage Losses Traces cost from fibre price through spinning, fabric formation, dyeing and cutting to an ex-factory garment cost, compounding the yield loss at every stage. Reports the fibre a garment really draws, the waste multiplier that produces it, the split between fibre and conversion, and how far the quotation moves when fibre prices move. Ex-Factory Cost per Garment per garment
• Geotextile Tensile Strength & Permeability Modeler Evaluates a geotextile against a design load by applying installation and durability reduction factors to its wide-width tensile strength, and converts permittivity into hydraulic permeability for filtration design. Factor of Safety x
• GRS Recycled Content through Differential Process Loss Runs a recycled and virgin blend through separate process losses, compares the content claimed on input with the content the output actually carries, and solves the recycled input a target content requires after both losses. Recycled Content on Output %
• Knitted Garment FOB Costing Simulator Simulates the FOB price of a knitted garment from fabric consumption, trims, SAM-based cut-and-make cost, factory overhead, margin and buying agent commission. FOB Price /pc
• Medical Nonwoven Absorbency & Barrier Calculator Calculates absorbency capacity and hydrostatic barrier performance for medical nonwovens used in drapes, gowns and wound dressings, taking the basis weight from the weighed sample and normalising results by it. Absorbency Capacity %
• Production Line Carbon Credit Estimator Estimates the carbon dioxide avoided by an energy efficiency project on a textile production line, and values the resulting credits annually and across the project lifetime. Emissions Avoided tCO2/year
• Profit Margin, Markup & GST Calculator Separates profit margin from markup for a fabric or garment sale, and adds GST to give the invoice value, with totals across the order quantity for trading and roll sales. Profit Margin %
• Textile Mill ROI & Payback Period Calculator Evaluates a machinery investment by calculating return on investment and payback period from annual revenue, operating cost, straight-line depreciation and tax, separating accounting profit from cash flow. Return on Investment %
• Towel Yarn Consumption & Cost per Dozen Works back from a towel's finished size and nameplate weight to the yarn that has to be bought for it. Terry shrinks hard in finishing, so areal weight rises without yarn being added and a quote built on the finished figure is short from the start. Reports loom-state weight, yarn per towel and per dozen, the cost of both, and how many kilograms of yarn are bought for each kilogram of towel that is sold. Yarn per Dozen kg
• Yarn Export FOB & CIF Pricing Calculator Builds yarn export prices from ex-works cost through FOB to CIF, including inland freight, port charges, ocean freight and marine insurance rated on 110% of C&F, plus container count for the shipment. CIF Price /kg
